Coaching philosophy
With a background in biology, I bring a science-led, reflective approach to coaching—one grounded in physiology and tailored to each athlete’s goals. I believe the key to endurance performance lies in the repetition of train, reflect, progress over time to build consistency and refine performance. At its core, success comes down to understanding which specific physiological attributes need to be developed—and how best to target them across swim, bike, and run.
My coaching philosophy is simple: science-led, consistently reflected upon, and always welcoming and inclusive. Every athlete is unique, and I’m passionate about solving the ever-changing puzzle of endurance sport to help individuals thrive—no matter the event or experience level.
As an athlete myself, I’ve competed in countless triathlons, as well as duathlons, long-distance swims, road-bike races, and running events from 5k to 70 miles. This variety shapes how I coach—with curiosity, empathy, and a commitment to progress.
