Reflective Endurance Coaching (REC) is based on the idea that there isn’t just one way to do things in endurance sport. Instead of rigid training methodologies and a set of reusable training sessions, I look at what each individual needs, I prescribe them individualised training, coach them through that training and then reflect on what worked well and what we could improve upon. I feel strongly that this simple feedback loop applied consistently over the course of many months will put athletes in the best possible place to achieve their goals.

Coaching represents a significant monetary investment from the athlete so I want to make the process as simple and rewarding as possible. The aim of REC is to create an environment where there are no hidden costs for swim sessions or track sessions etc. The athlete should never feel as though they can’t contact me because they need to move to a more expensive plan. Once employed, REC takes care of everything.
